Lunar New Year: Snake Style

February 01, 2025 | by Hannah Leone

Lunar New Year flavors are BACK... and this time, we're celebrating the Year of the Snake! As per usual, we've made two celebratory new ice creams for the occasion (we think you're going to love 'em!). Also, the Year of the Snake prediction sounds like it's (please, please, please) going to be a good one? According to Chinese mythology, the snake symbolizes good luck, rebirth and regeneration, so...here's to hoping. To pay tribute to such a year, we've made two tasty exclusive flavors (and once they're gone, they're...gone).

Firstly, we have our Pandan Almond Crunch! Pandan is a tropical plant commonly used in southeast Asia, and has a beauuutiful green hue (peep that color!). It tastes as though matcha and hazelnuts had a baby, and many describe it as having a toasty, vanilla-y flavor profile and aroma. It pairs exceptionally well with the toasted almonds and dark chocolate shavings we added-- we can't wait for you to try it!

Our second Lunar New Year flavor is our vegan Spiced Coconut Mango Swirl! We whipped up our classic coconut milk vegan base, and added a light touch of Chinese five spice (which is an aromatic blend of spices made from star anise, cloves, cinnamon, Sichuan pepper, and fennel), It is used predominantly in almost all branches of Chinese cuisine, and adds a lovely savory/sweet flavor to the ice cream. It pairs perfectly with our housemade mango jam, if we do say so ourselves.

COME AND GET "EM WHILE THEY'RE HERE!
